Algerian Startup Raises Funds in the U.S

LabLabee, an Algerian startup, is making significant strides. Founded by two young Algerian engineers in Oran, the company specializes in telecommunications and already operates in Algeria and France. It is now eyeing the U.S. market.

To support its expansion, LabLabee has raised $3.5 million in seed funding from U.S. investors.

"Congratulations to LabLabee for its $3M seed funding. A major milestone for this innovative startup based in Oran and Paris," wrote Yacine Oualid, the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Microenterprises, on LinkedIn. He expressed his admiration for the vision and talent of the two Algerian engineers, Samir Tahraoui and Mahfoud Sidi Ali Mebarek.

Two entrepreneurs and their team, since their student days in Algeria, have developed a cutting-edge platform making advanced telecommunications technologies accessible worldwide, said the minister, wishing LabLabee continued success as it grows.

The startup now works with prestigious clients both in Algeria and abroad, such as Orange, Bouygues Telecom, Ooredoo Algeria, Axian Group, and Deutsche Telekom.

LabLabee, an ambitious Algerian startup, is expanding in the EMEA region while securing new funding to support its U.S. expansion.

In November 2022, LabLabee won the "Startup of the Year" title at the Total Telecom Congress in London, awarded by the prestigious World Communication Awards for innovation and excellence in telecommunications.

In December, it was honored in Algiers by the National Agency for the Promotion and Development of Technology Parks (ANPT). Co-founder Samir Tahraoui highlighted that LabLabee’s solution is "innovative and revolutionary" for the telecommunications industry, making learning and practicing new technologies accessible and affordable for all.

The startup specializes in training companies' human capital through virtual training labs in strategic fields like 5G, AI, and Cloud technologies.
