Intel slid nearly 6%, Marvell Technology fell over 7.4% and Advanced Micro Devices slipped over 5%. Energy stocks The State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) climbed more than 1.2% ahead of the open as oil prices rose to start the week, with tensions in the Middle East rising. Diamondback Energy , APA , Marathon Petroleum and EOG Resources advanced 2% each to lead the gains. Cybersecurity stocks The group rose broadly as worries around AI safety increased following the warnings from CEOs Elon Musk, Dario Amodei and Sam Altman that the technology was moving too fast. Palo Alto Networks traded more than 4% higher, while CrowdStrike advanced 5.4%. AI infrastructure stocks Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise fell more than 7% following concerns about AI development and safety raised by CEOs Elon Musk, Dario Amodei and Sam Altman. Shares of IT solutions provider Super Micro Computer also dipped more than 5%. Affirm Shares popped over 2.1% following Wolfe Research's upgrade to outperform.
