That’s the frustration one 25-year-old investor shared after repeatedly seeing posts from people in their early 20s claiming to have investment accounts worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Posting on Reddit’s r/Money forum recently, the investor explained that they graduated from college in 2023, paid off student loans a few months later and opened an investment account the same year. Since then, they’ve focused on saving aggressively and investing as much as possible. Even so, they said their investment account has grown to about $40,000, with a total net worth of roughly $51,000 and no debt.
